Expansion Technology

PCI & PCIExpress Expansion Systems

Hello folks,

Would you buy a Thunderbolt Expansion from Magma, price below $1,000.?
Or how much would pay for a new Thunderbolt-Expansion chassis?

Anyone there

yes.
I will buy it, as long as it is worth for that price range. And if it works, then that's a big PLUS
I will, Magma makes pretty good expansion and their Technical and Customer Support is excellent!
I would buy the Thunderbolt expansion, I would pay around or within the range of $500-750.00, sounds good
I would buy one to try, price range would be between $500-600
I would definitely buy a Thunderbolt Expansion under $1000, as long as it supported PCI-X cards. I've got a G5 full of them for Pro Tools.
New Macbook Pro, expansion chassis + Pro Tools TDM cards = priceless!
500 to 800$
I would expect to be able to replace my PCMCIA and ExpressCard interfaces with a Thunderbolt interface and continue to use my existing chassis.
I would doubtless buy a thunderbolt-expansion chassis for 1,000$ if it supported PCI-X Pro Tools cards.
Yes, if it supported PCI-X cards such as ProTools.

Even better, can Magma give us owners of their PCI-X chassis just a card with a thunderbolt connection to switch the e34 or PCI-e cards we're using ? Is that possible?

Below that is...
