Expresscard 34 to PCI - Digidesign HD Core/Accel PCI Cards?

ExpressCard 34 is compatible with MacBook Pro but not with any just chassis. Old expansion chassis units are no compatible with MacBook Pro even if you are using the latest ExpressCard34.
Using Protools Cards with an old model expansion chassis and new ExpressCard34 is not going to work.

Older PCI Core card is not compatible with either MacBook Pro or MacPro even if you use the newest and greatest Expansion chassis and ExpressCard 34.

The formula is:
New PCI Protools Core card + New Expansion Chassis + New ExpressCard34 = Works with MacBookPro

What card revision constitutes an 'old' PCI Core card? Do these cards work at all or are just problematic?
